What do Scouts do?

Scouts are at the age where they can experience the true adventure that scouting has to offer – from arts and crafts in the Village Hall to jumping off cliffs, climbing, sailing, hiking, raft building and many more! We aim to give scouts a wide range of experiences so they can learn some new skills by accident along the way.

This year Scouts are undertaking the Dragon Challenge award which requires the Scouts to camp each month of the year. We have 12 camps planned for this year including a Cycle Expedition, Backpacking Expedition, Survival Camp and Walking Expedition.

Other activities include:

Climbing, Abseiling, Open Fire cooking, Tobogganing, Bivouacking (Natural shelters) and traditional scout camping

During Troop nights we undertake the following type of activities:

Outdoor cooking competitions
Pioneering
First Aid
Hikes and Night Hikes
